87 325 - VDO guage installation ?

Hello all....

I've heard of people doing aftermarket VDO guage installations into the 
front ashtray.  I'm not sure if these were home fabricated jobs or if there
is a kit available from someone?  I'd like to install an oil pressure guage
and block temp guage?  Has anybody done this and would you be willing
to give me some pointers?

Any direction much appreciated.
