Have you checked for any vacuum leaks? and the AFM/intake?... should be 
cleaned thoroughly once in awhile.  Might take a peak at the fuel regulator 
as well...just a thought...Definitely check all the minor stuff first before 
letting a mechanic "charge" you to hunt and peck around in there.
