Winter Driving

	In one of the recent posts regarding driving BMWs in the snow,
someone wrote about being careful to disengage traction control when
rocking the car back and forth to get yourself out of a snowbank, etc.

	This is my first car with traction control (5-speed '96 328i) and I
was not aware of that.

	*Question*:  is this advice correct?
