Just turn the ignition to the first position that the service lights will go
on, and ground pin 7 of the connector for 3 seconds or so to reset the Oil
light. To reset the service light, ground it for 10 seconds. Cost - a
piece of wire with two stripped ends. You can get fancy and put an
alligator clip on one end to clip it to a ground.

fancier setup etc.) at

l. I did it on my '91 E34 M5 with no resistors, or anything other than the
nearest piece of wire I could find.
