Mike,
Here is what I know about the procedure.
The hydraulic clutch system on the BMW need to be pressure bled. I have not
been successful attempting the pedal bleed method.
Usually the problem encountered bleeding the clutch slave cylinder is in not
having the slave cylinder at a sufficient angle to allow the air to migrate
to the bleeder screw.
The procedure I use is below:
1. Top off the brake fluid reservoir and install the pressure bleeder cap
for the brake reservoir.
2. Jack up both sides of the vehicle from the rear. I usually have both
rear wheels a couple of inches off the floor. (always use jack stands and
block front wheels) This allows the air in the slave cylinder migrate to
the bleeder screw. Check to see if you can reach the slave cylinder bleed
screw.
3. Make sure the clutch pedal is in the normal position. Clutch system
can't be bled with the pedal to the floor.
4. Charge pressure bleeder 18-20 lbs is plenty of pressure of the clutch
system
5. Open clutch slave bleed screw until the fluid has no air bubbles in it.
6. Check to make sure the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir is above
the blue hose connected near the top of the reservoir.
7. Release pressure in the pressure bleeder and actuate the clutch pedal by
hand to feel the engagement point. It should engage close to the top.
8. Lower vehicle and adjust the brake fluid level in the reservoir.
Now let's go for a drive...

Does anyone have a home idea or procedure for bleeding a clutch?
