2002 signal light problem

Hi everyone,

I have a '75 2002...I'm having problems with my signal lights. The fuse that 
controls it continues to blow...I can use the signals with no problem when 
the car is off, but the second I begin to drive, the fuse shorts and the 
signals go off. I had our mechanic neighbor rewire the radio directly to the 
battery, but the signals continue to malfunction. Please offer any advice to 
correct this problem. Thank you!
