Dinan upgrade

Does anyone have any experience with Dealer installation of the Dinan
engine and auto. transmission software to a 2000 328iC ?  Is it worth the 
extra cost ? That is,  any noticeable gains in acceleration?  How about the 
cold air induction etc.? With a brand new 328, I would not chance the hassle 
involved with , say, a Conforti chip installation 
( Waranty wise).  Would appreciate any info/ input  on this matter...
