RE: Fender Roll

Can you define "rolled"  I would assume it is simply bending the lip up and
around to meet the inside of the fender.  Is this true?  Is there a special
tool to do it?

I have to chime in and agree with James on this one.  Unless you are
absolutely certain the tire will clear before cutting (this is awful
difficult without actually snipping and then fully (read FULLY) loading the
suspension - WITH various lateral acceleration flexes taken into account),
you simply will not know until it is too late.  Remember all the bushings
that are flexible, and sidewalls are getting thin these days.  You might
have
a load of kids, some saggy springs in a couple years, or who knows...  I
have
my rear lips rolled almost as far as they could be cut, and still every once
in a long while rub the left on an occasional right-hander when
accelerating.
 The nice polished steel needs rust prevention attention from time to time,
but the sidewall shows zero evidence.
