Front End Rattle (Could it be the strut?)

There has been a rattling sound coming from my front end when I'm driving.  
It comes from the passengers side and it only rattles when I'm moving.  I've 
checked the hub, brakes, caliper, wheel, and everything I could check in the 
wheel well and could find nothing loose which leads me to think it's my 
strut.  Wat chal thank?  How long are struts supposed to last??  The car is 
pushing 79k.  I don't go off roading or anything just the normal driving and 
I don't do track events or any schools, but would like too.  If I do have to 
change them what do you all recomend?  I've seen the recent threads on the 
springs and shock combos but didn't really pay much attention (like the dumb 
ass that I am).  I currently have the "sport" package and would like 
something similar to that.  I would also like to lower the car a tad to get 
better handling without having the ride too stiff.  Any suggestions??
