I paid $1000 over invoice on a '97 M3 (in '97) ... you find the right dealer, I
see no reason why you couldn't get it for invoice, remembering that they (the
BMW dealer) get  2% of the Base MSRP, so on a $30,000 base they're still getting
$600 ; even if you add on $400 over invoice they're still making $1000 to get a
car off their lot that is costing them money!  (check on the frame inside the
drivers door for the build date to see if the car you want has been sitting on
their lot for three or more months - they are usually real keen to drop these
"slowbies" ...)
