Re: <E30><Tires>Selecting the correct size.

Hi,

One thing to consider is if you will need to roll the sheet metal to
avoid having contact during hard turns.

I recently put 16" wheels on my '87 e30 325is, got Borbet Type C with
Pirelli P7000's from the Tire Rack. http://www.TireRack.com/
It's a nice package that I like. I'm pretty sure the person at Tire Rack
told me 215/45/16 was the largest size I could get without rolling the
sheet metal and to also have correct size to not throw off the odometer.

Another consideration may be if you will ever modify the suspension with
sport springs, which can lower the car reducing the space in the wheel
well. This is what I hope to do next year.

By the way, the new wheels & tires made a world of difference over the
14" stock size on the track at last Drivers school.
