The '95 M3 did not have traction control available as an option.

The 'problem' that you are referring has been seen with 96+ M3s, which came
with different tire/wheel sizes front/rear (225/45 R17 on 7.5" rims in
front, 245/40 R17 on 8.5" rims in back). There was no problem with the
original tires, as supplied by the manufacturer.

However, since tires from other manufacturers (in the sizes listed) can
actually vary in diameter from the dimensions of the Michelins, replacing
the Michelin MXX3 with another brand of tire, or changing to a different
tire size, can cause the rotational speeds of the front and rear tires to
vary from what the ASC computer considers 'normal', and the computer will
believe that wheel spin is beginning to occur, and activate ASC. The people
who have encountered this have said that it happens above 80 mph.

Cheap fix: turn off ASC at those speeds.
Boring fix: stay with the original brand and size of tire.

'95 M3 (without ASC. Lots of power. Wheelspin? :-D )
'93 525iT (without ASC. Wheelspin? In a STATION WAGON???)
'85 318i (without much power. What's wheelspin? :-( )
