530iT questions

We're considering a 530 Touring.

The specifics are '94 model, about 55k miles, auto, traction control, 
leather. Colors are silver with black interior.

Is this one of the cars that had the problem with sulphur in the gasoline 
etching the cylinder walls and really affecting the engine? Were (or are) 
there factory fixes to address the issue? Is there a method to determine if 
the repair has been done, if it's required? Finally, what is a fair price for 
this piece?
