Thread/tap size?

Help needed,
While removing my old O2 sensor I buggered the threads on 
the catalytic converter. Does anyone know what size the threads 
are so I can go get a tap and fix them? The car is an '87 325 (eta) 
and uses the 3-wire Bosch O2 sensor.
