E36M3 16" wheels

A couple of weeks ago, I posted an inquiry asking if anyone could give me
advice about fitting 16" wheels/tires to my 1997 M3 sedan....
Anyway, I'd still like to do it....cheaper tires, better mileage, quieter,
and I'm not a good enough driver to know the difference in handling.

 I reply.....

Contact the tire rack at http//www.tirerack.com.
I am pretty sure there is only one 16" wheel that will fit
over the brake calipers on the E36M3. I believe it is the MSW type
55? I know it is an MSW wheel. Many people use this wheel with a
snow tire for better winter traction....
as far as cheaper ... quieter..tires the Dunlop SP8000 in the 17" size
may fit the bill for you..

Of course if you just have to get rid of your 17" wheels, you can
give (or sell) them to me!
