Leak

Hi guys,

I've got an '89 316i.
Opened the floor board of my boot to check the tire pressure of my spare
and found everything wet including the tire. (Very very wet)

Took out the tire, dried it and did my best to dry the boot.  Thought
that some of the bottles in which I keep water might have spilled over.

A week later, same thing.  It's as wet as ever.

There's no obvious leak from the top because everything above the
floorboard is not wet.

Could it be a crack in the bottom.  Any other possibilities?
