<ALL> A tire can rotate independently of the wheel it is mounted on

This applies to track/autocross junkies...

If you mount your track tires right before a track event, be aware that a tire
can, and will, rotate independently of the wheel it is mounted on. This is
because of the soap solution that is used during tire mounting. To determine
this, before a track event, make two aligned marks one on the tire and one on
the wheel rim and check them after each session. Do not be surprised if they are
not aligned anymore...

During my last club race, before I had my IFG wheels, my left rear tire moved
more than 4 inches on the wheel. My rear right tire moved about 2 inches. My
front left moved about 1 inch. I had installed the tires the night before (long
story)... I was lucky that the wheel balance was not too bad but it was not
perfect.

Some wheels have ridges along the inside of the rim to minimize tire slipping. I
was happy to see that my IFG wheels had the ridges. This is smart, in my book...
