Koni's vs Bilstiens

I have a 98 ///M3 on which I want to install the H&R Sport Springs.  Do I 
need to change out the stock shocks?  If so, which would you recommend and 
why...Koni's or Bilstiens.  (Excuse my ignorance, but are there multiple 
models with different valvings that would work with H&R Springs?  Or do they 
just make one shock that will fit the M3?)
