Best oil filters?

Anyone checked out the best oil filter for a 325i? I know some 
people 
reckon you can't beat the OEM part, but there are options like 
Mobil 1, 
Bosch, Mann etc. filters which I've heard can be better. Any 
opinions 
out there? Costs would be interesting too. How often should they 
be 
changed? Thanks in advance for any comments.
