Beemer/Bimmer; CCA NY Chapter on Letterman

1) According to the Roundel last summer, since BSA motorcycles were
referred to as "beezers", BMW motorcycles are referred to as "beemers".
Therefore, so as not to be confused with the bikes, BMW cars are referred
to as "bimmers"!

2) FYI, the NY chapter was able to get a dozen tickets to tomorrow's
(Wednesday) taping of the Late Show with David Letterman [yes, they are
already spoken for].  I don't know how the show goes, but maybe you'll see
some "bimmerheads" on TV tomorrow night!
