     Most of the listed parts are at least a 9 on a 10 scale of quality,
with the few exceptions openly mentioned.  Some recent new parts were
driven just 300 miles !

     Given the overall  condition of these parts and prices 50 percent or
lower of the Bavarian AutoSport catalog  ( a price already far lower than
the BMW dealerships'  fee ), 
this arrangement is reasonable for the buyer.


Clutch Parts -----      This clutch was fully functioning when removed
from car.

       Pressure plate ..... $ 70      The preferred 3 finger design. 
Apparently unavailable                                                   
          new, and difficult to find used.  This price doesn't           
                                                           take into
account scarcity, remaining at 50 percent
                                                         of the last
known transaction.

       Disc........................     45

       Release bearing...... 25       Also known as "throwout bearing".

       
        Flywheel ................... 80       Six bolt.  Includes
attached ring gear.  Excellent                                           
              condition.  Just 40 percent of new price because
                                                         of shipping
weight consideration.


Engine parts ------

        Head ..................... 225        Excellent condition !  
Recently remachined .
                                                        Less than 40
percent of new price.  

        Various upper and lower end parts priced to sell.


Miscellaneous -----

          Weber carb........... 115       Just 300 miles. Might include
linkage.

          Solex carb.............   30        Old, but runs well. 
Reputation undeservedly maligned 
                                                          because of
2002's two barrel poor design.

          Exhaust manifold ... 50      Includes heat shield.   Lower than
25 % of new price.

          Intake mainfold ....... 50      Lower than 25 percent of new
price.

          Fuel pump #1......... 30        Just 300 miles.

          Fuel pump #2 ........ 15        Old, but operating reliably
well.

          Water pump ........... 20        Fewer than 15,000 miles.

          Starter and solenoid.. 55      Good deal, especially
considering "core" alone is                                              
               worth $ 40.  Your true cost is just $ 15 !

          Timing gears, chain, cover....    Very reasonable.  Write for
prices.

          Oil pump................   50          Lower than 40 percent of
new price.

           Oil pan ..................   30          Lower than 30 percent
of new price.

           Oil dipstick and housing...   10

           Engine fan ............   10

           Air filter housing......   10        Might include hose.

           Air filter ....................... 4           New, in box.

           Several gaskets....... 10          unused from open gasket
set.


            Pay for shipping, and I'll spend the time boxing and
delivering the parts to the cheapest reliable shipper.

            I genuinely enjoy the 1600 design and sincerely hope these
parts find a useful home.
