BMW 1600 parts
Most of the listed parts are at least an 9 on a ten scale of
quality, with the few exceptions---original carb, original mechanical
fuel pump, etc.--- openly mentioned as "old". Some recent new parts were
used for only 300 miles ! Given the overall above average condition
of these parts and prices only 50 % or less than the Bavarian AutoSport
catalog ( a price already far below the dealership's fee ), this
arrangement is quite reasonable for the buyer. CLUTCH -----
Pressure plate........ $ 70
The
preferred three finger design.
Apparently unavailable new, and difficult
to
find used. My price doesn't account for
scarcity, remaining at 50
percent of the last
known transaction.
Disc............................ $ 45 Release
bearing...... $ 25
( Also known as "throwout bearing" )
Flywheel, including
attached ring gear.................... $ 80
Only 40 % because of shipping weight consideration. This clutch was
fully functional when removed from the car and shows few signs of wear.
The flywheel is in excellent condition.
Engine
"head"..................... $ 225 Excellent condition. Recently
remachined, zero miles !
Less than 40 % of
new price.
Engine.................................... Various upper
and lower end parts in
reliable condition and priced to
sell.
Weber
carb and linkage.... 115 Just 300 miles.
Solex carb and linkage...... 25 Old, but runs well.
Undeservedly maligned because of
2002
two barrel Solex' poor design. Fuel pump
#1........................... 30 Just 300 miles.
Fuel pump #2........................... 12 Old, but
operating reliably well. Water
pump.......................... 20 Fewer than 15,000 miles.
Starter and solenoid........... 50
Good deal, considering "core"
alone is worth $ 40.
Your true cost is just $ 10 !
Timing gears, chain, and cover ....... very reasonable.
