Auto Recycling

I am curious to know if anyone has info good/bad on the Bavarian Auto
Recycling @  http://www.bmrparts.com/index.htm
I blew my #6 connecting rod and have a nice hole in the block in Dec. 98,
and need to replace the entire engine. Is it worth getting a performance
kit for $600.00 and a clutch kit for another $210.00 in addition to the
$2,795.00 rebuilt for a 1988 528e?
