I wouldn't put them on my M3 or M roadster, but I had them on my '89 635CSia
for 70,000 miles with no problems.  They are fine for daily driving.  If you
track your car or do a lot of hard stopping in traffic because you like to
tailgate people then I would say don't use 'em, otherwise they cause no
problems IMO. YMMV.
