RE: How to fix windshield wiper chatter



The wiper blades should flip back & forth as the wipers pull them across the
windshield. When they don't flip they are pushed, not pulled across the
windshield, thus "chattering". This sometimes happens when the arm doesn't
hold the blade perpendicular to the windshield. You might have to actually
bend the arm so that in a neutral position (if you lift and set it down
gently) the blade is exactly perpendicular to the windshield.
