Greetings,
I am beginning to start work on my 318i and have run into a couple of
things that are puzzling.
I attempted to do a service reset using the jumper of pin 1 and pin 7
but that didn't work. Do I need to try a reset tool or are the batteries
in the dash likely shot?
The car came with a digital clock. A friend gave me one of the onboard
computer modules. He said it just plugged in. I can't find a connector
for it in the dash wiring near where it mounts. Should there be a
connector or am I stuck with the digital clock?
The PO ripped out the BMW radio and replaced it with an aftermarket
radio. He removed that nad gave me 2 BMW radios "that should work"
I am trying to figure out the wiring and if I can get the speaker
connector from somewhere. Anyone have the color code for the wiring of
the radio? I checked my Bentley manual but no soap.
I also need to find one or 2 wheels for it. The PO must have hit
something pretty hard, he bent 2 wheels. I put the spare wheel on and
the least bent of the other 2.
Thanks for any help on these things. I am trying not to part this out
and save it for the road. It seems to run very nice and I like it.
Regards,
jkc
