RE> Drink Spill

Actually, it is pretty simple to remove and disassemble the console mounted
window switches. The cautions that come to mind are to pay attention to
how things are removed and disassembled (take notes if necessary) so you
remember how to reassemble

The switches have a flange/bezel that overlaps the mounting surface. If you
carefully pry up, the switch comes out. There are spring retainers at each
of the long ends that help keep the switch in position, if necessary, they
can be pressed inward towards the center of the long axis of the switch to
facilitate the switch removal.

Take the switch inside to a work area and look at the bottom edges on the
long sides. You will see a small hole near the center bottom edge. Use a
table knife or a pair of small screwdrivers, etc. to gently pry the long
edge of the switch body outward to release the little "nubbins" that are on
the insert body of the switch that engage these holes. The inside "guts"
of the switch can then be removed. Do this removal carefully so you can see
where the springs, contacts, retaining clips and bulbs go/come from so you
can put it all back together again.

Easiest way to clean spilled soda is with warm water. Dry the parts
thoroughly, and while you are at it, clean the contact areas of the switch
contacts.

Switch re-assembly and reinstallation is the reverse of . . . .
