It takes to friggin' long to get a service appointment here in the  
Bay Area (3-4 weeks, usually) that I would argue that they should do  
the service when you can actually get the car in.  :)

Seriously, I would make the argument that this was the only  
appointment you could get due to their scheduling problem, and that  
you'd like the service done now.
