Re: ron3b@domain.elided

I think you figures are very low. Many people take their M3 or othe BMW
to the SCCA auto X or other wise "trak" the car. This is in distinct
contrast to the Porsche crowd in my experience. Having driven that make
for more that 20 years, I can tell you that in the midwest ( St Louis
area ), not many gold chains appear at the track. On the other hand,
the BMW crowd has an obvious competitive followingg. As for myself.
The CSP M3 has never been beaten in a regional contest by the likes of
Corvette, Porsche, Viper, or even my old ASP 93 RX7 - R1 even though all
of these are in classes that are "faster". Kicking butt and liking it
is a 30 year old pleasure. My M3 is a 95 that I drive each day because
I find that competition only, as I have done through 7 Porsche, 1 Nissan
30k0Z, and the 93 RX7, is not as much fun as having a daily buzz as I
arrive at work with smile on my face.
