If Ken Suggested that , Ken is wrong. Which book was it in? I hope not the
"Buyers Guide", since I proofed and edited that one and would hope that I
spotted a gross inaccuracy as this.
The 1971 1600 was imported to the USA. Some of them were even "late" 71s with
the rubber rub strip moldings at knee level.
1600's for 1970 and 1971 had the 4 piston calipers. The 71 1600 did not have
sway bars, had a 4.11 rear end unlike the 2002 3.64: It also had the larger
rear brakes like a 2002 with the 15mm wheel cylinders. Most of them also had
Tachs, some had clocks like the 2002 A.
