Now that finished replacing my tranny and the short shift which I
was able to buy since I save on buying the tranny. I can firmly
atest that the BB/SL with the ERK extension is pretty slick. Takes
a bit getting use to but so does the clutch in the 325is. No need
to get into comparisons between cars. What I do need is some advise.
Now that the 325is is back on the road and the 318i is in the shop
for long need attention I want to find out what other performance
improvements I can make on the 325is. So here is what I have done
and what I think might need to be done:
K&N cone filter
BB/SL shifter
------------------
exhaust ?
sharking ? (when should I do it?)
If anyone is interested I have a set of Niche Bahn 16" wheels that
came with the 325is when I bought it. They are not made for a BMW
but for a front wheel drive car and will fit a Honda. I do not
know what made the previous owner put them on but he did. To
accomplish this feat spacers where required. These are a five
spoke crome wheel that looks like someone flattened the spokes.
They look really nice but do not quite look right on the E30.
I would like to trade them for a set of 15" six spoke bmw wheels.
If I can not trade them I would sell them either with or without
the tires which are almost brand new and have less then 5000 miles
on them.
