Why ignoring doesn't work

It is all well and good to say "Ignore them, they will go away".
Then someone new to the list comes on and sees an ER*M post and says "I
am new here, what is an ER*M?" Then all the = start flying again. Yes,
you can hit page down, or reply privately to that individual, or
complain to the list administrator. All of that has been done to no
avail. Richard has warned ER*M boy NOT to post on his innovention (har
har) and he still does.
What else is there to do? At some point, everyone has to just say
"ENOUGH!". When respected and knowledgable people start leaving the
list because of the mass volume of absurdity posted, it is time for
everyone to step in and put a stop to this. It may seem childish, but
dammit, I used to enjoy this list, and it used to be productive. I
can't just hit <pagedown> anymore, I have to hit it 5 or 6 times because
his posts are so damn long. Take a look at the archives. Notice how
many posts he has made since Richard told him to stop. Obviously,
Richard is busy and hasn't been following things around here, so someone
has to do something. Turns out it was Bubba Duane (no surprise) with a
call to arms.

BTW, I went to www.innovention.com, to see about getting some muffler
bearings, and that seems to be a different company, with a trademark on
the name. Mark, did you know about that?
