Last year when I took the McKamey Autocross School (BTW, if you're an
autocrosser and have a chance to attend, TAKE IT!), another student shaved
off around a whole second from his time (this was about a 35 second course)
by following one bit of advice from his instructor.  The instructor said
that he was too far back from the wheel, and was too low in the car.  So,
he sat on a jacket and shoved another behind his back - on his next run,
you could see his line, along with his car control, improve...
