<all> BMW Digest Quality

I do not have much problem with the flame wars and such upsetting me
because I just scan the titles of the posts and read the ones that
interest me (and drop the flaming threads). I suggest others do this. (Be
sure you try to label subject appropriately or be skipped)

But the volume of traffic on this list is quite high and 50% or more has
got to be flames. So while the crap doesn't bother me directly it does
indirectly. (esp when the likes of Brett must drop off, like Don E. and
others did the last time the digest got out of hand)

Richard has done one hell of a job setting up and maintaining this list.
I have not had dropped digest in about a year and my ISP is not that
great.

I guess it is time for another moderator (which is a worse than thankless
job - we had one before and he got slammed).

Ghosting this onto a newgroup would help with the volume
(comp.sys.cad.intergraph had all the postings from their mail list show
up in the newsgroup, and you could post to the newsgroup directly).
