E30. ABS Troubleshooting. How does one check relays?

While checking out the ABS in my 1989 325 iC, I did the following:

1. Checked the resistance at each ABS sensor. 1037 ohms. Jim C. says =
650-1600 ohms is fine. These seem OK. For those who do not know, the =
sensors have beige connectors. Fronts have them clipped to strut towers =
or nearby and the rears are under the rear seat.

2. Checked the silver relay on top of ABS brain. Seems OK. Switched with =
known working relay. ABS light on instruments cluster is still on.

3. ABS light is not fused! Of course!

4. Cleaned the front left (driver's side) ABS toothed wheel and sensor. =
They weren't too dirty. Nice feeling cleaning them though!

I would now like to check the relays mounted to the ABS pump in the engine =
compartment. My problem is I do not know how to check relays! Are there =
any resistance values, etc?

Can anyone help?

Thanks.
