Michiel,
Rodd Sidney was (is ?) one of the digesters a few years back, around
three years if I am not mistaken. He had some kind of car parts business
and was continuously posting advertisments and shameles plugs for his
stuff to the list. He persisted in that for a long time, annoying
everybody despite repeated requests to stop. Nobody had any problem with
him when he was just posting "regular" posts to the digest, but the
constant pitches were unwelcome to say the least. This was before the
digest had a policy on advertising. As a matter of fact Rodd's shameles
plugging was probably one of many reasons why Richard finally stepped in
and established ad posting rules. From what I remember the guy (Rodd,
not Richard) would not stop posting ads, and inventing new ways around
ad posting rules long after the rules were established. He would just
not get the hint! I don't know what happened to Rod since then, I was
off the digest for couple of years, but I haven't seen any postings from
him within the past several months.
Chris,

Yeah, what was that with Rodd Sidney? there's that remark in Richard
Welty's weekly advertisement, but I don't know what happened. I wasn't
on
the list yet.
