Hi Paul,
With all the Y2K confusion, I find it valid that you would have the 
concern, but you needn't worry. The computer and car will still work. 
After all some media are even claiming elevators won't work at the 
rool-over to 2000.

Simply stated the Y2K problem involves calculations with dates when the 
year two thousand which might be represened by two digits fail to work or 
calculate correctly.

So to set your mind at ease on the computer in the dash - it uses a date, 
but to the best of my knowledge only a day and month, no year. (At least 
the one in my 92 is like that)

And since it does not use a year it CAN NOT and WILL NOT be affected by 
any Y2K issue. It does no math or calculation that involves the date or 
year portion of the date, hence no problem.
