tomas s. perez wrote about if thre was any scientific data if the k&n filters
actually helped.  I just installed one on my 90 325is, and could not tell a
difference.  One of my friends installed one on his 92 325ic and said the
same.  But from what I've heard about them on e cars they make a noticable
difference.  More than likely this made an improvement because of a nasty
filter.
