1995 525 CD Changer?

Want to add a changer but unsure of my options. Heard the Pioneer M
series is the only one compatible, but I thought the receiver was
Alpine and could only take an Alpine changer. Also heard the Pioneer
is often times not compatible but they won't know it until they test
it during install. Anybody shed any light here? thx!
