price for BMW

What is a fair price for a 97 328i with sport package, 5 speed, leather,
and that is all I believe. It has 5300 miles on it if that matters. The
dealership is asking 35,000 but that seems a tad too much. Any ideas?
Oh, it is in Bakersfield CA.
