For those who are dissatisfied with their $50K boombox, perhaps they could
learn from my friend:

He bought a Lexus 400 a few years ago; loved the car but hated the Nakamichi
system so much that he complained vehemently to Lexus/Toyota Canada about
it.

Guess what?

They authorized $5000 for the installation of any sound system he preferred.
Now he drives around listening to his wonderful aftermarket stereo.

Not saying that you should switch marques but BMWs aren't known for their
sound systems, except the one under the hood.
