synthetic oil/grease for transmission and differential.???

I switched to Mobil 1 synthetic oil in my M6 about a year ago.

I am considering switching to synthetic oil/grease in my
transmission and differential

Does anyone know anything about synthetic oil/grease
for BMW's transmissions and differentials.

My M6 has a limited-slip differential and I know it requires
a special lubricate.

Please e-mail with pros/cons or other info.
