 Has anyone else has this happen for no reason?

 Is this covered under the warranty?
 If not, any recommendations for replacements?

~~~ Torsional rigidity parameters of cars unibody exceeded (likely a big bump
or uneven surface, typically a shock bottoming out & "shock wave" sent through
unitbody), and the windshield is a torsional structural element. It GAVE way.
Weakest link, as compared to surrounding steel. Definate Bummer. Insurance
time?
~~~ Be sure to check closely for signs of a slight chip, sometimes pointy
gravel can just ding and fly off, leaving almost no visual clue as the crack
is where the impact mark was, and the mark was like the head of a pin.
