<E30> cigarette lighter falls through

I recently got my '91 M3 and the cigarette lighter socket is loose and
pushes right through.  I can get it back up and it will stay, but
eventually it seems to fall back through.  I think that the way it
fits in with the orange plastic tabs is broken or worn down.  Anyone
have this problem before and know what it might be?  It seems like it
would be this.
