E30> tires, 225/50/15, will they work?

everyone,

for those who are using the stock 7Jx15 wheels on your iX or M3, i am
wondering if i can use 225/50's vs. the stock 205/55's on those wheels
without causing excessive wear.  i would like to get that extra bite and
lower profile but if they are going to wear poorly then perhaps i will
consider other options.  i do drive aggressively and i go through tires
quicker than average but i already understand that.  anyone doing this or
tried it?  i need to know.  thanks.
