Audi Quattro vs BMW Quattro !?!

With Audi's A4 and A6 Quattro, people in cold weather areas have a real
advantage buying the Audi over the sled, urhh, uhh, BMW.
BMW really needs to get back on the ball and introduce a new "ix" model
(Quatto equivalent - hopefully, Quattro beater!) to compete with Audi's
awesome 4 wheel drive snow and bad weather machines. Are you listening BMW?
 Most 325ix owners rave about their vehicles and the handling and control
they get when it snows. I've heard stories of owners getting down streets
where SUV's were having trouble.  Why is BMW reluctant to reintroduce this
"great idea machine"?
