1999 740i sport seat question

     Greetings:
     
     I have read that the 1999 740i with the optional sport package 
     includes (among other goodies) 18-way adjustable sport contour seats.
     
     My question is:
     
     Are these seats basically the same as the sport seats that are 
     available in the 540i EXCEPT with the addition of the upper seat back 
     adjustment (similiar to the 16-way comfort seat)?
     
     The seat sounds like BMW took the bottom of the 540i sport seat (with 
     full tilt and power adjustable thigh support) with the back of a 
     comfort seat (articulating upper back).
     
     If this is true, does anyone know if BMW plans to offer this seat in 
     any other models?   (M5, 540 or upcoming M3)?
