Reverse Gear "Thud"

I have recently replaced my drive shaft coupling. However, whenever
I engage reverse gear, I still hear a metallic sounding thud. The sound
seems to be coming from the drive shaft. What do I need to replace now? My
car is a E36 320i Cabrio with the 5 speed auto tranny. Thanks!!
