The Pontaic grilles have no resemblence to the BMW grilles. BMW's
grilles are recognized world wide, they are distinctive in design, not
having changed in 50 years or more, other than exterior dimensions.
Pontiac grilles do not have the history, or recognizability of BMW's
kidney grilles.  In addition to that, Pontiac grilles look like shit ;-)
