R-12, E28 antenna, TSC light

Cary asked about converting his A/C, saying that you can't get R-12 legally
any more.   Are you sure?   I thought it was still available, just very
expensive (due to the taxes).   I know of some guys who bought a bunch
before the taxes went up, and they'll sell it... my HVAC guy charged up my
old heat pump (on the house) twice a year with R-12, so it's gotta be
available somewhere!     Heck, you should be able to go to a junk yard and
recover some from old wrecks.

Then Joel asked about removing the power antenna from his E28 even though
it was retracted.   Shoot Joel, that's the only way you can remove it, is
when it's retracted!   Just take the nut off of the top (you'll need a
special tool or be creative with needle-nose pliers) and take of the nuts
holding it inside the trunk and unplug it and out it comes!

As for the TSC light on the roadster, what's wrong with good old black
electrical tape?   Just kidding, but how about pulling the light bulb out?
Wouldn't that work?   Shouldn't take more than a few hours.   Those
Michelins are expensive David!    Maybe you should leave it (TSC) on.

Just a few thoughts.   Forgive me if I totally missed the mark and didn't
address the questions.

BTW, I thought what's-his-name wasn't going to post anymore unless he had a
direct question... then his next post is unsolicited.    I wish Richard
would block him....    I hope he doesn't take this as a question.   It
ain't a question.  Don't respond!  No, no, no!!!!
